Tie Clip

Simple and effective component to enhance shirt and tie displays.

To display its range of tie and shirt combinations in retail environments, Next were using a two component solution, presenting an opportunity for both cost-saving and an improvement in functionality.

We developed a really simple moulding with low cost tooling which slid firmly in place around a shirt button and pinched the tie fabric to give the appearance of a knot. This design has now been adopted throughout the company's UK stores.

In the end it cost a third of their existing solution, and with half a million units being bought per year, it's been a good design investment.
