Reinvigorating shoe hanger design.

Phineas Products are a specialist manufacturer of shoe hangers to high street shoe retailers. When Phineas approached Segasby Studios, they were looking for a design business that could help them reinvent their range of existing products and improve their function and appearance whilst minimizing the volume of plastic used.

We have been working with Phineas for 4 years now and have designed at least 50 different hangers along the way.

We have improved their products making them easier to use for the shopper, our hangers use snag free shapes which don't get caught up on strappy details found in fashion shoes. We protect the shoes from damage by introducing over-moulded rubber details to minimise the impression on the shoes, and we created the offset hanger stem that means a pair of hanging shoes touch each other rather than rubbing on the central stem of the hanger. Our hangers are designed using the latest 3d modelling software which means their shapes are rounded and soft which again prevent the shoes from being marked and feels much better in your hand when handling the hanger in store.

Presentation is important - so a hanger needs to hang the shoes straight up. Maximising the amount you can get on a rail.

Our hangers are now hanging shoes and boots in Mark & Spencers, Clarks, Next, Shoe Zone and Mothercare to name a few.

We have also worked with Phineas and retailers to develop solutions perfectly matched to a retailers specific needs, be it special label areas or a hook to fit a particular rail size.

We are truly an extension of their business and we have developed many patented designs and registered designs which has shaken the little world of shoe hangers up.
